About Me

Aparna Rangnekar Contemporary Artist a visual expressionist in ethnic indian Madhubani art style

“ If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head almost nothing” – Marc Chagall.

These poignant words effectively summarize my artwork and its creative process. My paintings are an extension of my compassion and awareness of all that is joyful, positive and true. Being from India, my roots continuously influence my work be it abstract compositions, expressive landscapes or the eclectic Indian folk style paintings. Most of my creations are a celebration of color, form and texture. The subject may vary but the core always resonates feelings of joy, bliss and elation. In my work I try to blend the traditional with the contemporary stylizing the old with the current.
